What is Google Guarantee?

Do You Use The Google Guarantee?

It can be very difficult for a small business to be seen as a trusted source in the online marketplace. This is particularly true for companies offering a service in a local area.

To address this issue and to provide credibility and backing for companies, Google offers the Google Guarantee. Google screens businesses before this guarantee is provided by the search engine giant. Also, the business must advertise through Local Service Ads, and this is where the customer must book the service.

What is the Guarantee?

The Google Guarantee is a monetary reimbursement Google can decide to provide to a customer making a complaint on the quality of the work performed by your business. Each customer has a lifetime limit based on their country, with consumers in the USA having a capped amount at $2000.

In the event the amount requested by the customer exceeds the cap, they receive the maximum if Google, at its sole discretion, decides to reimburse the customer. If the invoice amount is lower, the lower amount is reimbursed to the consumer.

The Process

The customer must submit a request for reimbursement from Google, and it must meet the specific criteria for the process. Google then contacts the business, obtains additional information, and encourages the business to attempt to resolve the issue directly with the consumer.

Should Google find in favor of the customer if it is not resolved privately, Google provides the reimbursement. However, the customer may still choose additional actions outside of Google, which can include insurance claims or legal action against the business.
